Breakout Sessions
Real Conversations. Tangible Insights.

From global leaders to on-the-ground changemakers, our breakouts bring together sharp minds with real experience. Expect honest dialogue on what’s working, what’s not and what’s next,  in the world of culture, strategy, and transformation.

Breakout Presentations 1
A) Building intercultural competency within international teams.

In today’s global workplace, diversity is no longer optional, it’s reality. But without intentional effort, cultural differences can cause misalignment, conflict, and missed opportunities. This session will equip participants with practical strategies to recognize cultural dynamics, bridge communication gaps, and leverage diversity for higher performance. Through case studies and interactive discussion, you’ll learn how to turn cultural complexity into a competitive advantage

 B) "The Corner Office Conversion: Selling Culture Transformation to Public Sector Leaders - A Central Bank perspective"

Culture transformation in the public sector often begins with convincing the most skeptical audience: senior leadership.
Drawing from real-world insights inside a central bank, this session unpacks how to frame culture change in terms of risk, performance, and public trust. Attendees will discover techniques to gain executive buy-in, navigate bureaucratic resistance, and turn abstract “culture goals” into concrete leadership priorities.

 C) The Lonely Road: How to Spark Culture Change When You're the Only One Pushing

What happens when you’re the lone champion for change? This candid, practical session addresses the challenges, and opportunities, of being the sole voice for culture transformation in your organization. Participants will learn how to build allies, influence from the middle, and keep momentum alive despite resistance or indifference. Real-life stories will show that even a “team of one” can ignite lasting change.

D) "Lost in Translation: When Technology Misses the Cultural Mark"

Technology may be borderless, but people are not. This session explores the costly pitfalls that happen when digital tools, platforms, or products fail to align with cultural expectations. Through global examples, from UX design to AI language bias, you’ll learn how to assess cultural fit in tech adoption and development, and how to avoid innovation that alienates the very people it’s meant to serve.

Breakout Presentations 2
A) Building a culture of impact and accountability in the non-profit sector.

Impact in the non-profit world isn’t just about good intentions it’s about measurable results and shared ownership.  This session explores how to foster a culture where accountability is embraced, not feared, and where mission-driven work is backed by clear performance standards. Learn how to align teams around outcomes, create feedback loops that inspire growth, and ensure your organization delivers real, lasting change.

B) "The Culture 'Language' Barrier - Bureaucracy vs Business: A public-private sector conversation"

In this breakout session, our panel members will focus on Understanding and decoding sector-specific behaviours, patterns, jargon and decision-making norms that make public-private interactions and collaborations difficult.

C) "Managing Culture Change and Integration in Mergers and Acquisitions"

In mergers and acquisitions, numbers get the headlines , but culture determines the success story.

This session examines how to proactively manage culture integration before, during, and after an M&A deal. Learn how to identify cultural risks early, navigate “us vs. them” tensions, and create a shared identity that supports strategic goals. Case studies will highlight what works, what fails, and why.

D) "Culture by Default or Design? Using Tech and other resources to Keep Growth from Becoming Chaos"

As organizations scale, culture can either evolve intentionally or drift into disarray. This session explores how to use technology, processes, and cultural “guardrails” to maintain clarity, collaboration, and values alignment during rapid growth. You’ll gain practical tools to ensure that scaling up strengthens, rather than dilutes, your organizational DNA.

Philip Sjögren

Stardust Consulting & Associated Practitioner The Culture Factor Group

Philip Sjögren is a management consultant with a background as a Swedish diplomat, where he worked with Economic and Social Affairs through the United Nations. Since 1995 he has supported leaders and teams in over forty countries, from Iceland to Japan and from Russia to Chile, helping them navigate leadership, culture, and collaboration. Before founding his own firm, he was a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company.

Today, Philip works with Stardust Consulting, a Stockholm-based boutique consultancy specialising in organisational-, leadership- and culture development. Having lived in Sweden, the USA, and Latin America, and working fluently in five European languages, he brings a distinctly European yet global perspective to his work. His approach combines strategic clarity with cross-cultural insights, helping organisations grow without losing the cultural DNA that makes them thrive.
