Dr. Zaiyan Gong is a pioneer in bridging culture and user experience, with expertise spanning intelligent vehicles, mobile devices, and cross-cultural UX design. He is the Director of the Human-Vehicle Relationship Lab at Tongji University and General Manager of Shanghai AMMI Intelligent Technology.

He developed the CXP-9 method, a quantitative tool for evaluating how well digital products align with cultural preferences. Inspired by Hofstede’s 6D model, it has been used by global brands such as Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Honda, and Geely to optimise design for diverse markets.

A board member of DUXU at HCI International and former Porsche China executive, he holds a PhD in Automotive Engineering and continues to shape the future of culturally informed product design.
